I first met Steve about six years ago when my partners and I engaged Alpine Constructions to completely refurbish our three level Heritage listed building in Mary St, Brisbane.

The project was difficult in that the building is over 130 years old, was then in a very dilapidated condition and located on a site in the middle of the CBD with difficult access.

Steve brought the job in on time, under budget, and to a standard which contributed to the building winning a 2007 RAIA Queensland Award for Interior Architecture.

Since then Steve has done a number of projects for my wife and I. These include complete remodeling and refurbishment of our units in New Farm and on the Sunshine Coast, and extension and refurbishment of commercial and retail properties.

My experience of Steve is that he is exacting in his standards and always looks to improve the result by finding a better way of doing things than might have been specified. I have always been completely happy with both the process and the outcome of every project Steve has done for us.

Importantly from an owner’s perspective, he maintains very good relationships with your neighbors and tenants. That is a very rare gift in the building industry and reflects Steve’s character and personality.

Steve is an extraordinarily good builder and I am very happy to recommend him.
